MILAN DESIGN WEEK ‘24
This Milan Design Week, we opened our Galería Dos for 12 NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti students.
Three exclusive works of art that seamlessly blend tradition and innovation. Re-imagining our boundless heritage archives of design, infused with the modern allure of Lois. A co-creation that represents the silhouettes and textures of the past, harmoniously fused with the craftsmanship and techniques of today.
‘CALIPSO’
A DESIGN THAT EMBODIES LOIS’S SIGNATURE FABRIC CHARM. MADE FROM RESIN-IMPREGNATED JEANS SCRAPS, ITS DRAPERY EVOKES THE MYTH OF CALIPSO, DELICATELY ENVELOPING A SMALL 3D-PRINTED AMPHORA COVERED IN STUCCO. THIS VESSEL COMBINES THE ESSENCE OF JEANS WITH LEGEND, SYMBOLIZING THE FUSION OF ICONIC FABRIC AND THE NARRATIVE MASTERY OF MYTHOLOGY.
‘IPPOCAMPO’
A REBELLIOUS DESIGN THAT EMBRACES THE CONCEPT OF FRAGMENTATION, TRANSFORMING RECYCLED CERAMIC PIECES INTO A VIBRANT AND BOLD CANVAS. USING 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY, IPPOCAMPO CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF SPANISH ARCHITECTURE WHILE CHALLENGING THE BOUNDARIES BETWEEN ART, FASHION AND DESIGN.
